Chit is a shared shopping list printed like a till receipt. Every chit has its own link. Type things the way you'd say them, like 2 kg onions or milk x2, tick them off in red pen as they go in the basket, and every phone with the link open sees it happen live through the Firebase Realtime Database.

The first version, Add To Cart, was one list that everyone who opened the site shared, with an input, an add button and a cat. The rebuild is named after the chit, the slip of paper you hand over at the corner shop, and it's designed like one: a thermal receipt on a sage desk, printed in Martian Mono, crossed off in red pen and stamped Bagged when you're done.

Type it how you'd say it, and the quantity and aisle are read for you
Tap to tick in red pen, hold to edit, and undo anything
Keep going with no signal, and it syncs when you're back

Written how you'd say it

Nobody types a shopping list into fields. Each line is read with a small word list, so the quantity comes out of 2 kg onions or milk x2, and the item lands under its shop section, which is how the receipt groups itself.

One chit, every phone

Each chit is a node in the Realtime Database under a random 16 character id, with security rules that open one by its link but never list them. Ticks show on screen before the server confirms, so the receipt keeps up even on bad signal.
